I've been using the recipes and techniques here for a few years, and decided to support the cause fully. I have been increasing my skill and scope for two decades, and truly love learning how to improve my skills to make gatherings (and especially the food) more memorable with friends and family.
I primarily use propane now with a couple Weber Genesis grills and a Masterb uilt smoker, mostly for simplicity and convenience. Other than in a smoker, I can't imagine cooking on anything other than Grillgrates. I've bought 5 sets for myself and family members, and think I'll buy another 2 before year end. My birthday already came and went this year, and sadly my wife didn't get me Meathead's book, so if you want to buy one for me, that'd be cool, or not, whatever. I guess I'll just get one myself.
I love smoking turkeys and pulled pork for large dinners (once fed 50 people in Tahoe for Thanksgiving), but I think one of the areas that most intrigues me is different fruits and vegetables on the grill. Or for grilling them to be used in recipes, like chili.
Yes, I've read the "homework" for new members, so I'm trying to be a good newbie to the inner workings of the site. ***On a related note, is there a way to mark recipes for easier access within my profile?
