    Wowsa!

This is apparently regional, as my Kroger sales flyer does not include this special. Instead, my local sale is half pork loins for $1.49 a pound.

Yeah, I was hoping it wasn’t just regional and everyone could score some.

We have pork butts for $1.29. My wife has already told me no. Curious how their spears ribs are. I haven’t had great experiences with their baby back ribs. Very skinny and the membrane was really hard to remove.

Great deal if you don't mind a little work, or cooking/eating full spares. I was fortunate enough last week to score 6 racks of trimmed St Louis at $1.49/lb. It's nice to see deals again.

Yeah, that’s the part I hate, trimming off the big bone. But, for that price and a couple minutes work I’ll do it.

      Man, wouldn't that be nice!

Forgot to mention, they also had Cooks butt or shank hams for $1.89 per lb. I DID get one of the butt hams.

I've still got 3 or 4 racks in the freezer from a fairly recent 99-cent sale. Both Safeway (Albertsons) and Fred Meyer (Kroger) have had them at that price.

In September my wife and I were vacationing ā€œUp Northā€ for a long weekend and we stopped into a Meijer to get some groceries. I came across a deal (didn’t pull the trigger - was planning to on our way home and forgot to stop) purchase 7 or more slabs and pay $1 per slab. I had to read the sign 3 times to make sure I was reading it correctly.

Wow, I'd be all over that. Heck even if you cooked 'em too long to mush that's cheap pulled pork.

I hope Fred Meyer's/Krogers has them here in Oregon.
            Heading to the store now.

Nice! No Kroger around these parts. I did score again last week at the local market. Whole chickens .99 cents a pound again. I brought home 12 and the wife just grinned and ask if we really needed 26 chickens in the freezer?!
I stacked them like cord wood on top of the 10 racks of baby backs I bought for 1.99 a pound a month ago.

bbqLuv I gotta admit I am less inclined to be running one of the smokers when it's raining or otherwise cold and nasty than I was a few years ago.

The own Ralph's down here, but their weekly ad doesn't show this deal. Guess I'll have to swing by the store. Oy, another chore...
