Panhead John I like how you were going for nostalgia in that first post. Nothing says school lunch like burnt crinkle fries, amirite? Need exact recipe details please.

BourBonQ I knew when I posted that, I would become inundated with recipe requests. Due to the complex and highly technical nature of that cook, most of the people here just don’t have the time nor inclination to attempt a duplication of my recipe.

Hey now, don't be slamming school lunch. My wife was a lunch lady and she never served the burnt fries.

Thank you very much Donw Most people only know me by my famous clam chowder recipe. But most are not aware of my many other talents, which does include my forays into the acting field.

For a guy who cooks and eats a lot, you sure have kept your girlish figure!

So which ones were better? The ones on the smoke grate or the ones on the sear grate? You can't tell me that was an accident... 🙂

I need precision with the tricky stuff. Every detail counts or the end product just wouldn't have won the lady's heart.

The ribeye doesn't look that bad. The crust make up for the slightly bloody texture.
But then you showed it plated. That ketchup is way too close to the meat.

I’m really surprised Schwyy hasn’t posted some pics here yet. He’s probably got a ton of material for this thread.

Here is a really nice blackened ribeye I cooked tonight.

I cannot believe some of y’all’s biting and sarcastic comments about some of my best work. It’s obvious to me y’all are just jealous, not being culinary masters, such as myself.

At 5:45pm there was no plan for dinner, and everything that could be "dinner" was in the freezer. At 6:30 this culinary masterpiece hit the table, and the dinner bell was sounded. Click image for larger version

Chicken thighs, some sort of sauce/gravy stuff, most of a bag of frozen veggies, and my specialty, mushy rice.

I have gone hard all week for holiday cooks (first time in 6 years). So I took a break. For service, I choose from the PJ Collection. Thank you Panhead John for the inspiration. In my defense, I did use organic crescent rolls. And the hot dogs are the last bit from my old job. And of course, plochmans mustard. Not shown: potato chips and French onion soup dip made from leftover onions from Christmas Eve.
