Calling all taco seasoning recipes

    For smoked pork butt or chuck roast, I use my own rub .... El Cowper Carnitas ..... it will cover a large pork butt well .... or 2 chuck roasts

    2 tbsp garlic powder
    2 tbsp chili powder
    1 tbsp onion powder
    1 tbsp white table sugar
    1 tbsp ground cumin
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp ground coriander
    2 tsp smoked paprika
    1 tsp ground oregano
    ½ tsp cayenne pepper

      I’ve been using this rub for years as gringo taco seasoning for ground beef, as well as on carne asada along with citrus juice, and on pork shoulder for carnitas!

      Working on some modifications for the new year, but this is my base recipe...

      Chili powder 10 parts
      Paprika 10 parts
      Garlic 6 parts
      Onion 6 parts
      Red pepper 2 parts
      Cumin 2 parts
      Coriander 1 part

      Coriander may be omitted if using fresh lime juice, but absolutely essential if you don’t have fresh citrus!
