I bit the bullet and bought a sous vide cooker from Target. Monoprice brand, an Anova knock-off. Doing a New York strip steak tonight, seasoned with SPG. Plan to sear it with a cast iron skillet on the stove. ðŸ˜
Cooking meat in the kitchen just isn't the same as sitting on the patio, smelling the smoker, and babysitting the fire. ⤠😎
After cooking at 125 deg., and searing in a blazing hot cast iron pan for 2 or 3 minutes per side. (I was more interested in searing than whether I cooked the inside further.) Sliced on an angle to see more of the inside. Tasted good, even had my wife's approval.
