Is there any problem SVing a beef tongue in it's cryo from the packing plant? Planning on 158x36. Or should I just play it safe and foods saver it?

Lemme just +1 this.
I've actually done some long sous vide sessions in the original bags. This worked okay until a bag split with two pork butts in it. This was a shorter cook and at higher temps than I usually sous vide at but... it happened. It sucks too, especially when it happens while you're sleeping.
