    Injured on duty

Still can't quite see out of my left eye. Was prepping ABT's and got distracted and on returning to the poppers I wiped the side of my eye.
No further explanation needed as to the self inflicted pain I experienced.

Ouch! 🔥 Keep rinsing with cold water. Cold compress might help as well.

I'd like to be able to tell ya that I've never done such a silly thing...

But, that there'd jus be a bald-faced lie...

Been there - done that - wasn't fun. As, uh, was relieving myself under similar circumstances...

Rubbed the side of my nose while chopping up a habanero. my nose fell off. Well it disappeared for a while. Felt like nose and lip were shot up with Novocain.

What also helps is large quantities of beer or whiskey. You need to find out what works best for you.

If you drink enough alcohol, it won't kill the pain, but you won't care...

I’ve gone to the bathroom after slicing habaneros before...that was a bad idea. One of those times where you need to wash your hands before you go to the bathroom 🤣.

I would rather not wash my eye out with tap water. Contact solution or eyewash a better option IMHO.

Depending on your municipality I might agree. Too much chlorine isn't likely to help much.

Been there, I hope you're feeling better now! Making my jalapeno shawsh once I was 'don't touch your eye, don't touch your eye, don't touch your eye'...and what did I do? Yep. I wondered if just ripping it out with a spoon would've felt better.
