My gear:
22 Weber Kettle
Napoleon PRO Charcoal Kettle Grill
Broil King Keg
Traeger Pro 34
Napoleon Prestige Pro 500
Pit Barrel Cooker
Blackstone Range Combo Griddle
So I've just placed an order for some Kosmos Q products for the first time:
Reserve Blend Brisket Injection
Moisture Magic
Texas Beef Rub
Cow Cover HOT Rub
SPG Rub
Competition Brisket Mop
Can't wait to try these as I'm looking to take my brisket to the next level and the briskets I've seen Kosmos cook on his videos look to be the next level. Pretty reasonable shipping to Canada at $28 USD though I was a bit disheartened to see they use UPS. I don't mind UPS within Canada but they tend to tack on handling fees for things coming from the US. Will have to wait and see.
Curious as to how those of you who have used or do use his injections feel about them.
I've read so many good things about their Wing Dust, and we do wings a LOT, usually in a traditional Buffalo style. I noticed their Wing Dust is $4 off right now, so placed an order last night for their Nashville Hot, Chili Lime and Salt & Vinegar. Excited to try them soon.

I like his injections, but never used his seasonings. I would like to try the Dirty Bird one. As far as injections his one for pork is my go to. His brisket one is good but I like Butchers the best.
rtfrost88 To clarify, if it’s a prime or American Wagyu brisket, I’m less inclined to inject. But to answer you’re question, I always dry brine and season regardless of whether I inject or not. One does not preclude the other.
I’ve tried his Dirty Bird hot, SPG and Honey Chipotle Killer Bee. They all were a hit, tried them on wings, ribs and SPG on a pork butt. The Dirty Bird Hot does well on chicken, as the name implies. I’ve gotten where I prefer to do my own SPG, I likely won’t buy his again.
I ordered a $25 package of the brisket injection mix and discovered that it contained corn syrup, something my wife is allergic to. Still sealed. Would love to give it away to anyone in local San Diego area.

I like his SPG and Dirty Bird. Think I like Malcom Reed's AP rub better than Kosmos SPG, however, I have a friend who sells the Kosmos stuff so I buy from him and use the two of them.
I have never heard of these rubs and brines before so this is good information, so far I have been happy with the products from this web site. I see that there is a store specializing in rubs in London that I will check out, it is called the The Rub Shack, on a side note all of these rubs seem expensive to me?
@ Argoboy Is that the place that's on Kijiji all the time, shilling wood chips/chunks and rubs.
They do seen expensive compared to other places I use, they want $14 for a bag of chunks
I usually pay $9ish
If a rub strikes my interest I'll pay otherwise I make my own.
Found the place on Kijiji, Crazy Carnivores BBQ Supply, stores in London and Ayr that I see listed may be more.

I have become a Huge Kosmos Q fan. I think his combination of Texas Beef & Cow Cover are one of the best rubs for beef, any kind of beef (If not using just Kosher Salt & Pepper)! I would also alert you they are available at your local Ace Hardware. Great products!
Been looking at his website. I'm a little confused with the injections versus the moisture magic. Is it that the injections give flavor while the Moisture Magic retains moisture? I only ask because the injections say "moisture-retaining components."
* - Weber 26.75" OTG
* - Weber 22.5" Premium cloaked in Crimson
* - Slow 'N Sear
* - Smoke E-Z - 26.75" (The Grain Silo)
* - Lodge Sportsman Grill
* - Weber Rapid Fire Chimney Starter
* - Thermoworks ThermoPop
* - Thermoworks Mk4
* - Thermoworks Dot
* - iGrill2 - 4 probes
* - Favorite Beer - the cold one in my hand (craft beers of all flavors; haven't had a blue yummy in over 6 years) my tastes change with the season so it is difficult to name just a couple. However, I will occasionally have a vanilla porter float in the summer (Empyrean Vanilla Porter w/a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream) as I usually drink stouts & porters in the colder months, pale ales & IPAs in the warmer months. I have to add Not Your Father's Root Beer to beers I use for floats.
* - Booze - I don't really have a favorite, but lean towards single malt Scotch & Irish whiskey
* - Wines - Reds: mainly the heavy stuff mixed in with the occasional pinot noir ( I have yet to meet a malbec I didn't like); Whites: German & Nebraska (hey, I have to support the home team)
* - Favorite Spice outlets - Volcanic Peppers - Bellevue, NE
* - Current butchers: Cure - Ft. Calhoun
I have tried a couple (dirty bird and killer bee honey) and came away unimpressed, especially for the $12.95 I paid for each bottle at my local BBQ store last summer. Hopefully your results turnout better than mine. However, I have been tempted to buy a pouch or two of the wing dust.

This weekend's project. An 8.9 kg (19.66 lbs) AAA brisket. I doubt that I'll order Kosmos Q directly from them again, at least unless they stop using UPS. In addition to the duty, which I don't mind paying, UPS tacked on a $56 USD brokerage charge!
