I just bought this Smoke Powder. Have any of you used this before. In Rubs? In Sausage? As a garnish on SV Chicken Breasts or?

I have never seen this before. The closest I have come would be smoked salt, maybe? Interesting to hear how it does when something is cooked sous vide.

It smells strong as though a little goes a long way. I've seem it listed as an ingredient in some Rubs.

They will sell more if they give some directions or recipes as to how to use it. I would start experimenting with recipes you have seen that call for it.

I have some from another company. It is VERY strong. A wee bit in a rub goes just far enough. Like a 1/4 tsp or less in a cup of rub.

Agree with Potkettleblack. It's quite strong. Until I found smoked alderwood salt, I used to use a little when I made steak as part of breakfast. I'd balance it with sage and a little brown sugar.

I am not sure of anything else, but I think I would like to come to your house for breakfast. That sounds great!

I’m not a fan of "smoke" flavored spices. I prefer the smoke flavor in my food to come from the blazing fire in my stickburner.
