I see it done all the time on TV shows like DDD where they visit restaurants who do Q. I definitely don't do it or need it on the electric where the only possible issue is too much humidity/moisture, but I am in the process of modding my COS to try cooking with charcoal and I thought it might be useful for that application. I don't really know.

Dew, I don't spritz either. At the low and slow temps I don't think it is needed. The only place I read about that MH mentioned is on a PB to help the bark.

I would rather drink beer than Spray, Spritz, or Mop
I agree with Huskee... those sprayers work really good for round-up

I don't spritz or mop either, sorry. Cooking at 225 I don't want moisture on my meat. If I cooked my low and slow meats at a hotter temp I might consider it.

I put Round Up in mine, lol. I don't spritz meat so I have nothing to add besides that.

Spraying, Spritzing, or Mopping
OK, who here sprays, spritzes and/or mops during a cook? What does your concoction consist of? What equipment do you use to spray, spritz or mop? What meats do you like to spray/spritz/mop and what ones don't you do it with? Does it depend on the cooker?
Let's get a discussion going about this. I just bought pump sprayer because I thought it was cool (pump it up and just pull the trigger) but I'm not sure what I'm going to put in it.
