    How to make Cheesy Potatoes?

Living here in Ohio every pot luck or backyard BBQ we go to has two things.

    Creamed Chicken and Cheesy Potatoes.

I am happy with my Creamed Chicken I make but my Cheesy Potatoes are not so good.

They seem so simple but I just cant get them to taste right.

I think most of the time people use either frozen hash browns or frozen potato shreds. Then there is cheese and onions and other stuff. Most of the time they are cooked in the oven and they top the casserole with corn flakes while they are baking it.

Anybody here have a kick a** cheesy potato recipe?

Here is my sister-in-law's recipe. This is some awesome, stick to your bones taters!

    Ana's Homemade Hooray Potatoes !
    Preheat oven 350
2 lbs frozen hash browns, cubed preferable
    1 can cream of mushroom
    1 can cream of chicken
    16 oz sour cream
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp salt
2 Tablespoons melted Ghee or butter
    8 oz grated cheddar cheese

** if you like crunchy, add crushed Ruffles potato chips or corn flakes on top before popping into oven

Mix together and bake at 350 for 1 hour

(I like to fry up some Bacon SPAM and throw it in the recipe too. But I am a savage.)

This one is not usual, but it sure is good! https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/...in-recipe.html

And this is the one I was looking for:

Now that I think of it, it was the second one we made.

I like to throw in a goodly portion of sliced green onions in mine...flavour, texture, yada, yada yada...
Cain't go wrong with tossin in some crumbled bacon, either!
      <SECRET TIP!!!!!>
Instead of, or preferably on top of yer favourite chips casserole topping, I often (read almost always) add an additional heavy crust layer of (real) bacon bits!

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

Napoleon’s 22″ Pro Cart Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It’s hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the 22″ Pro Cart a viable alternative.

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.
