Suckling pig timing - last question most likely :)
Hello all,
I ordered a 20-25lb suckling pig, and I am planning on roasting it using a charcoal spit. I am thinking low and slow, around 225-250, but I cannot seem to find any information on how long it should take. Any ideas?
Did a 45-50lb on a spit a few years ago. Took maybe 5 1/2 to 6 hrs. Considering the smaller size, I would ballpark 3 hrs. Make sure you add more charcoal at the end to really crisp up the skin
