    Reheat pork butt

I had to pull a butt off the smoker before it was done, Was at about at 190 degrees, wrapped.

I would like to reheat/finish the butt and pull it. What temp should I set smoker for? Is 203 degrees still the target?

I would think continue at 250* wrapped in your oven. Watch your internal temp but as with all big hunks o meat you're looking for probe tender.

Yup .... a BTU is a BTU at that point.

Why do you say it is not done. I routinely pull butts off at 190 and let them rest for an hour before pulling, Covered with foil and a towel they will go up another 10 degrees. As with any reheat take it to 165 wrapped in foil as HawkerXP says in the oven.

Tenderness is both time and temp. A longer time at a lower temp will still make your butt tender. I'm with HawkerXP - smoke at 250° until probe tender, then pull and rest before pulling. And it may not be necessary to rest, but it won't hurt...

Wait...are you insinuating that my butt is anything but soft?

Troutman while I can't speak to the temperature I'd say your butt definitely has enough time to be pulled. 🤔👍👌

Perfect, thanks gang. I had to remove it from the smoker on Sunday, I had to be somewhere and it just would not finish in time. I pulled it, still wrapped and put in the fridge. I will reheat at 250 until probe/fork tender. Thanks gang.

      250, wrapped, fork/probe tender.

Love your avatar pic. Not much help with your question though.
