Asked a friend with family in Knoxville to stop by the acclaimed Benton's Smokey Mountain Country Hams in Madisonville,TN on the way home to Atlanta and pick me up a few ham steaks and a couple pounds of bacon. The steak definitely had a strong smoke and that intense salty funkiness you want in a good country ham. Can't wait to try the bacon...
