    Smoked Breakfast Casserole

So The man, the Myth, the Legend Malcom Reed has done it again. I tried his new recipe of smoked breakfast casserole this morning. It is now my most favorite breakfast casserole. Normally I’m not a fan of quiche like breakfasts but this consistency was great! Here is the step by step followed by the finished product. I’d highly recommend trying this recipe out for yourself.

I then let it sit in the fridge overnight. I put it on the Egg this morning for a little over an hour @ 350* until the eggs solidified.
Here is the ending pic along with a cut piece.

Interesting how the crescent rolls don't appear to have risen much. Looks more "meaty" than "doughie", Personally, I have always preferred more meat and less bread in casseroles. Will have to give this one a go!

I just did a recipe in the oven yesterday that was almost identical to this one other than it didn't use the crescent roll crust. Instead it just added 20 oz. of frozen hashbrowns in the mix. Didn't smoke it, but I did use cold smoked cheddar in the mix. Rave reviews, and not just from me!
