Smoking a butt day before serving

If i smoke my boston butt the day before serving it, what are the best ways to reheat the meat without drying it out?

I've done that a few times. I've done different methods. One is foil pans covered with aluminum foil in a 250 degree oven. The other is a slow cooker on low or medium. Either works fine. Add a little (like a really little) bit of apple cider .... 1/8 to 1/4 cup.

What ecowper said - crock pot on low with reserved juice from BBQ. Add a little water, vinegar and whatever BBQ sauce you used. I have found that keeping the butt as intact as possible when putting it in the crock pot renders best results.

taterhead Welcome! I also use a crock pot and add about 1/2 cup of water per 5 pounds, and about 1 tablespoon of butter per pound. We'd love to get an intro from you over in the Introduce Yourself channel when you get a minute.

I always cook the pork butt/pulled pork then pull it and sauce it and use it for cold sandwiches.
