    Salty Soup Fix????

I'll put this here. It seems like a side and all of you are amazing cooks on and off the smoke. Lets face it. Over seasoning happens. I know theres lots of fixes for an over salted soup but I'd love to hear yours. I'm not a big fan of the potato method. I tend to be more of a distraction person bringing sugar into play. I've never went down the vinegar road but that may be worth a try.

How do you fix an over salted dish? Soup or otherwise.

More soup, like in a rub, more of the other ingredients.

Lot of people say to add a potato, but Blonder has tested that and it doesn't work. I'm with Jerod. Make more soup to dilute it.

Depends on what the other ingredients are and your flavors, acids tend to do the trick. A little lemon juice or orange juice goes a long way, but you wouldn't want that tanginess in some foods. Vinegar can help, so can a little sugar.
