Curious: it's too late for me now as I've already made them, lol, but it calls for 1 shallot.

Would this be 1 bulb or 1 head? I used the whole head, it consisted of 3 small guys. I also don't know if I'm using the term "head" and "bulb" correctly but the whole shallot consisted of 3 smaller pieces of shallot, similar to garlic.

Any insight? Using the whole shallot tasted fine to me, but I love garlic and onion.

Also, if you haven't made these yet, you're missing out. This is the second year I've made them and they were by request this time! (I used an onion last year)

I'm with you on the shallot. I consider one shallot to be whatever is in the brown "wrap". Also like you, I like onions and garlic!
