See, everyone has MCS. But I say, once you got something to cook on, and you’ve got it mastered, you should not get MCS: you should get MMS.
More Meat Syndrome.
Right now I’m going back and forth and in between Allen Bros, SRF, and Creekstone Farms.
SRF is "old reliable" for me; they’re a little higher priced than the others, but the beef is really good and they’ve stepped up for me in the past. They’ve done some really nice things, and believe me, that counts.
Allen Bros have stepped up, too. Those Wagyu flank steaks that Meathead raved about? I can’t stop thinking about them. They’re that good. And as far as service, it has been exceptional. These guys stepped right up to the plate and didn’t blink. The holiday order goes here.
Creekstone Farm... never ordered there. But they have a whole prime ribeye, 14-16 lbs, fresh not frozen, for $284. I’m going to look for one of those "first order?" coupons, but even if they don’t have one, that’s a deal, at least among high-end purveyors. That’s a four rib roast and maybe eight 1.5†thick ribeyes. I got the vacuum sealer all tuned up!
Thing is, I’m not going to pick from one of them. I’m going to pick from ALL of them. It ain’t MMS otherwise. I don’t need something new to cook it on. I already have that. I just need more stuff to cook!
