You have to eat nothing but 3 soups for a year...

    ... what are they?

It's threatening to be fall here soon and fall means soup to me. So... what soups can you eat over and over again? Not necessarily your best soup but one you like enough to eat, say, weekly.

    Gin, scotch and tequila.

rickgregory touché, that is why I opened it up from individual soup recipes to the larger profiles. Giving myself a bit of room to move.

Hey, that is my answer! Don't forget the PBR, pair them with PBR.

Is Gumbo a soup or stew? I always viewed it as the latter.

Since well known establishments like Antoine’s, Arnaud’s, Commander’s Palace, Galatoire’s and Tujague’s list Gumbo as a soup, I’m adding it to my soup list.🙂 I just know that whether its your Grandma’s deep brown Cajun recipe, or the more liquidity style of some chefs around New Orleans, it is just a good way to survive a year without many other options.

          That’s it.

Well, maybe a good chili recipe but my wife only eats chili every decade.

A good clam chowder, my wife's homemade chicken noodle, and either morel bisque or a good chili.

I had to edit my response above, I forgot how much I love my wife's homemade chicken noodle. She adds a little lemon and cayenne and it works wonderfully and I can't get enough of it.

NE clam chowder (no mentions of Manhattan clam chowder?). BTW, the best NE clam chowders I have had were all on the Oregon coast.

              French onion soup

              Gazpacho (traditional)
