    Who invented pork belly burnt ends?

    Does anyone know the history of pork belly burnt ends?

    I was first exposed to them around 2017 but am interested if this has been a thing for longer than that.

    If anyone has information about who invented this dish or how it became popular, other than it was kind of inevitable I'd love to know.

    True "burnt ends" started as brisket off-cuts at Arthur Bryant’s in KC. Everything else is just a viral follow-on IMHO. I don’t call them burnt ends myself. They’re BBQ beef or pork chunks. FWIW.
