      I've always heard it pronounced POONCH-ky. But us northerners have our own accent. (Actually no, we talk normal, you southerners have the accents )

        Sweet Tea, that's no accent, that is a voice kissed by the Good lord! c'mon, darlin', sit a spell. Actually, those in the north probably are FAR closer to the actual pronunciation. far more Polish Immigrants in the North than the South. All about when the waves came.
