I dry brined for 4 hours. Added some Penzey's rubs I had on hand --Florida seasoned pepper and BBQ 3000.
Cut them to separate drumette from the rest. Smoked on the Weber with charcoal and pecan wood.
Made a sauce with butter, garlic and hot sauces I had in the fridge.
Cooked at about 300-350 indirect about 6 minutes a side.... then seared over hot side.
had to get two charcoal grills going ... then seared I baptized them in the sauce and but them back on the grill for a bit.
Dumped the remaining sauce over the top. Served with Ina Garten recipe for blue cheese dressing and celery.
mmmm i like them better than fried.
That is butter that split out of the last bit of sauce I dumped over the top.
