Yesterday I smoked my first set of meat. Two chicken breasts with skin and bone, and 4 beef short ribs. Used hickory. The chicken came out great - moist and juicy and unbelievable flavor - very happy with the results. Will post a picture of the ribs below as well. I'll be trying them today - hope I didn't overcook them.
