Frozen turkey

I bought a 12 lbs turkey that is frozen. Can I thaw it, then smoke it and then freeze it again for an extra at Thanksgiving. Just wondering.

@Pitch22, You could but I think You are going to Find the Meat Dryer than you hoped! Do you intend to leave it Whole or Cut it Up prior to freezing it?
I guess I need to know a little more about What you are trying to do and Why?

Yes you can, but it will be very dry.

Thanks. I was going to spatchcock this one to see how it would work on my traeger before I did the other one for Thanksgiving. Maybe we will just eat it. Thanks again.

Has anyone tried freezing a cooked turkey immersed in oil to combat dryness? Of course, you would need a lot of freezer space, I suspect.

gcdmd, George, I don't know about Oil but I freeze Shrimp, Seafood and Fish in Water and it seems to keep indefinitely! Turkey?
