Have anybody here ever enjoyed salt rising bread? If so does anybody know how to make it. I can't find it in Ohio. I know of a few bakeries back in western NY that still make it but it costs an arm and a leg to ship it out.

Sounds interesting--and weird. Here's a Wiki article about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt-rising_bread
I'm surprised that it works, but it obviously does. I'm gonna give it a try soon, if I can find a 100°F spot for it to sit in. The KA recipe proved by ComfortablyNumb should be a great place to start.
Is it strongly flavored?

As an un-toasted bread I would say it smell like a combination between a stinky cheese and feet.

I wouldn't say it is strong flavored but there is somewhat of a funk like sourdough bread has.

In my opinion salt rising bread is a part of the best breakfast there is
Home made corned beef hash
Over easy eggs
Lightly buttered salt rising toast
