    2 1/4” grocery-chain ribeyes w/cow crust

    Kroger had choice ribeyes for sale at 7.49, so I asked them to cut a couple 2” for me—- they went heavy at 2-1/4, but not complaining... over 4 lbs for two steaks, not very marbled, but gonna try for the price! Cut one in half (about 1 lb each half) for more sear, smothered in cow crust with mustard added... gonna reverse sear, grilling some onions to go with them...

        Well, I haven’t played with SV yet, can’t really afford to right now. They weren’t bad, just not awesome. But worst case, the other 2 lbs are gonna make great burgers with some extra fat
