My second attemp at SnS Tri-tip!!

Well my second attempt definitely came out better than the first. Maybe because I was more patient this time. But with the SnS setup and the digital thermometers, everything turned out great!!! Anyway this is more fun than I ever thought it would be!!!

I tried Big Papa's Double Secret Steak Rub. It was good, little much salt though for me. Good thing I didn't dry brine it first.

I bought the Maverick ET732 and I love it. Seems to be working perfectly and it wasn't that expensive.

You just jumped several notches up that SnS/reverse sear learning curve. Nice looking hunk of beef. Congrats on a job well done.
