Had my first attempt at cooking Wagyu this evening. I'm fortunate to have a proper butcher (although he's 45 miles away) that provides high quality meat.
I bought two NY Strips, gave them a little olive oil rub then added Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Cooked them over charcoal on a Weber 22 inch kettle with a Slow and Sear.
The best steak I've ever had and by far. I did not tell my wife about them prior to serving; I just waited to see what she would say about it. She, who is not a steak lover, noticed the difference immediately and was very pleased.
