    BBBR on beef ribs

Going to be smoking some beef chuck ribs. I have been thinking about using BBBR with cumin added on them. How much cumin do I add to the rub? I know it's on here somewhere but have not found it.

Been a while since I've done this, but looking at the recipe i'd start with maybe 2 teaspoons, probably not much more than a tablespoon. Cumin can get pretty strong. And back off a bit if you're using regular chili powder as most have cumin in them.

I personally do not like that much cumin. I'd totally leave it out. Do you want your ribs to taste like chili? BBBR however works great. So does good old fashion Texas SPG.

See, I don't use that much cumin in my chili. I find that cumin in a rub used on something like short ribs isn't as strong as in a braise. But I also like cumin quite a bit, so...

I use regular BBB on beef and we like it. I agree if you add more cumin your beef will taste like chilli.
