    Just a little bit of tri-tip...

    Bought a cryovac of prime tri-tip from the local Costco, intending to cut it up into steaks (because we ran out), but the smallest package they had was about 24 pounds! So it made 28 steaks ranging in size from 6 ozs to 13 ozs, 1.5 lbs of cubes for stew or soup, some small slices for beef teriyaki and I left two whole as roasts. Here's a pic of the steaks after vacuum packaging and before going into the freezer.

            Wow. Congrats on the Costco find and for your butchering skilz. And a huge congrats for having the freezer space to accommodate all that meat!

                        Man that's a whole lot of cow. Costco has been on a tri-tip boom of late here as well. Not sure where they continue to get so much prime meat but I'm not complaining.
