      AngieAng I'm using the older Maverick ET-732 but I would probably go with the newer Maverick XR-50. There's also the Thermoworks Smoke and Fireboard to consider. A few others are well regarded options too. Maybe others with first hand experience can weigh in.

      Update....used another thermometer and the temp was just like pit external one. Put brisket on at 9am...wrapped in butcher paper around 12pm...temp..then took off grill at 3pm to rest. OMG...6 hour cook time plus rest. Game changer. Smoked temp was around 300 degrees
