    Dry brined 12 hrs, still debating the rub. Short plate from Sam's, trimmed. Fred & Barney?

      Not everything needs rubs. Sometimes S&P is all you need. Just my opinion. By the way, removing the bone from short ribs leaves a pretty tasty "steak" and is one of the easiest cuts to debone.

            Hard to go wrong with simple SPG, what else ya got fer rubs? Mebbe one might be jus th ticket...

            I also frequently use Montreal Steak Seasonin on beef...
