    Time to Thaw A Frozen Brisket

    How long does it take for a 14.5 pound frozen packer brisket to thaw in the refrigerator?

    About 3 days? I just thawed a 8# flat in 2-2.5 days.

      Agree with about 3 days but you probably can trim and dry brine around 2 days.

        Meathead recommends, as a ballpark, a day for every 4lbs. You can get a brisket that size thawed in about 3 though, and 4 for sure.

        I just did this couple weeks ago, same sized brisket too. Took it out Mon morning into a 37* fridge, when I checked it at some point Weds it was flexible. Could've trimmed it then but was lazy & didn't. Thurs morning it was fully thawed for sure.

        If ever you're short on time, you can thaw one in a cooler or bathtub of cold water in about 6-8hrs, ballpark. Keep the water cold though by cycling it regularly.
