Beautiful day yesterday. I smoked my first brisket. I used the Ugly Drum and boy did it perform. It was my first long cook on it and it chugged right along between 230 - 260 for at least sixteen hours. It was still going well past midnight the last time I checked. Pretty sure I could get 18 hours out of it no problem. Full 18.6 bag of KBB with 50 fully light briquettes in a Soo's donut. Lots of hickory to fill the air.

But first things first. I followed Meat Heads free site recipe and it did not disappoint! I would have never attempted to cook a brisket if it was not for this site and it's members! So thank you all!

Here's some pics of the day.
