That's a really nice cut, just cook it hot n fast. Great flavor. It is part of the shoulder as Troutman said. Show us photos!

Sold frequently as "mock tender". Done to rare/medium rare its a delicious steak. Done medium or well its suitable for wearing on your feet

Yea its the teres major muscle that part of the shoulder clod. I rarely see it but have ordered it from my butcher. Very tender like tenderloin.

Teres Major Steak
A BBQ buddy recently sent me the following link.
An overview of the artisan cut of steak known as the Teres Major steak or Petite Tender or Petit Shoulder Tender and how to grill it properly
I have never heard of teres major steak before and I'm wondering if any of you have had any experience with the cut. Perhaps it is known by a different name? I'd be interested in giving it a try, but before I approach a butcher I'd like to find out as much about it as possible. I can't ever remember ever seeing it places such as Costco, Sam's etc.
