      Poached Pear

      1d’Anjou pear. Cut in half, peal & core
      2 tsp butter
      1/4 cup brandy
      juice from 1/2 lemon
      2T maple syrup
      dash salt
      sprnkle of nutmeg

      everything (not nutmeg) in a sauce pan with lid. Simmer on low heat (add water if liquid gets too thick). Sprinkle pears with nutmeg

      This is really good!
