    Henrik, who else but a BBQ geek would think cooking a steak for 1 1/2 hrs is a short cook. Love it. Love the pics. Can't wait for about 37 others of us to try it. Hey, what about 1 1/2 hrs & Dave's cold grate reverse? To the moon Alice!

      I know, 1.5 hours => short? Well, I'm a bbq addict, what can I say? :-) That cold grate technique works great in a kettle, but over roaring hot oak logs it doesn't stay cold for long... :-)

      Thanks! It was pretty much a classic beef steak in terms of flavor. It is a beef steak, after all :-) Which isn't bad at all, quite the contrary. I'll save my money and go for ribeye next time though, or T-bone.

    Looks great! Sam's club had a couple reduced for quick sale...........I may go back to see.................

      Funny FireMan I was thinking the same thing about short cooks. Still, big difference between starting at 6 am and 4 pm. Great cook, Henrik, you've got me thinking about steak for the weekend, maybe porterhouse.
