    Fig wood for smoking

I did a massive overhaul on my fig tree yesterday. I have lots of wood. Has anyone ever used it to smoke with? Or will I wind up with Figgy Pudding?

Fruit bearing so I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Use the fig, and do a jig

No experience here but I've used lots of one-syllable word woods and they always work out... except pine.
Kidding aside, I've read some on it and it's reported to be good. I've read the smoke has a cinnamon/spicy aroma.

Use it. I would. I bet you will love it. Just let it dry out a bit before you burn it.

My test is to hack off a small jagged piece, light it with a Bic lighter and smell the smoke after I blow out the flame. I'm quite certain my neighbors get the wrong idea when they see me doing this in the side yard.

Thanks to you all. I await some drying of the wood eagerly. I await the smell of the test piece to check out the cinnamon and spices aroma, and I await the neighbors now having something else to wonder about.
