It upset my wife, but this was too good to pass up
Got a 12lb packer for only $31. Here's how it went after only a 6hr dry brine and a cook that started at midnight. Pics are at the start, 5 hours in, 12 hours in (when I cut off the burnt ends and boated it), burnt ends when I pulled it off at 16 hours, and the final product at 18 hours.
Oh, traditional sides: potato salad, mac salad, slaw, beans, and sweet corn on the cob.
Leftovers will go for sammies, burritos, and possibly chili. Three days worth of meals at least.

I'm loving using BBQ to make friends and build connections.
I have #theRibList where I keep a list of new and old friends and whenever I'm cooking, I make 1 to 20 extra and share the joy.
Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
Weber Summit Kamado with SnS and Vortex.. Broil King Baron, Primo Oval Junior. Primo XL. Love grilling steaks, ribs, and chicken. Need to master smoked salmon. All-time favorite drink: Single Malt Scotch
Women are from Mars... The BBQ is in the backyard. That's our man cave. A Martian will never fully understand how we Pit Masters think.🤆They shrug their shoulders and say men...??? Then after dinner is served you're not such a bad guy after all.😎

Breadhead, I think your brain must be muddled after all that good food earlier! We're from Mars, women are from Venus. Still, the rest of your explanation holds true! 😜😜
I stand corrected... I never read that book. I just kind of thought the whole idea was goofy. Women are smarter than men in different ways/areas.
My most valued employee in my 40 years in the furniture manufacturing business was a woman I hired from a temp service that I eventually gave her a portion of my business to keep her involved. Now she is the VP of sales for one of the largest Upholstery manufactures in America. She and I used to disagree a lot but... Collectively we usually came to the right decisions.
Some Pit Members know exactly who I'm talking about... Because they work for her.😎 I won't name names.
Breadhead, I never read the book, either. I just wanted to give you a hard time. :-P
We all have our different talents. I leave all the organizing to my wife, because she is good at it, and I am hopeless. I am a technical person by trade, and things I find easy to troubleshoot are a mystery to her.
