      Seen this other places. LOVE Alton but I'm not going to try it.

        I have had a few people ask me about this. i don't see how this could be a good way to cook anything. I am glad someone finally posted something about it. I am curious to hear what people think of the idea. Right now, I'm with Jon, not going to try it. Well maybe with some really cheap skirt steak, but probably not even then.

          I've cooked a few briskets where the ends of the briskets were laying a good 2-3" worth on the coals in the Pit Barrel. Never could tell which ones were laying on the coals to start with.
