Bonesy, one of the interesting things about Rancho Gordo .... you just don’t have to soak them at all. I know that’s hard to believe, and I didn’t believe it. But the first time I cooked some Rancho Gordo beans, I soaked them like I knew you should. And I ended up way overcooking the poor things

22" Weber Kettle w/SNS, 18" WSM, Bronco, Grilla Chimp, Traeger Tailgater, UDS, Camp Chef Tahoe Stove.
This falls under a broke clock is right twice a day - I have been checking the Rancho Gordo site relentlessly for a few weeks now trying to get my hands on 3 beans in particular - Midnight Black, Cassoulet and Cranberry. And they are out of stock. Until today, when I surfed on over and said, hmmmm, wonder what is in this here deluxe gift box? Lo and behold, current gift box beans are Cassoulet, Cranberry, Flageolet, Garbanzo and Midnight Black. They don't ship until on or around 5/21, but I am in!!! Thanks to everyone for turning me on to these guys. As soon as the bean club opens back up I am in. I also ordered some hot guts from https://www.blacksbbq.com/lockhart.html today, and now I am thinking hot guts and beans....
