    Duke’s Barbecue Sauce?

Ever since my college years in South Carolina, I have been a huge fan of Duke’s mayonnaise. So imagine my surprise at the grocery store when I saw bottles of barbecue sauce with the Duke’s name on it. It turns out they launched a line of sauces back in March. I picked up a bottle of Carolina Gold and am looking forward to giving it a shot. Has anyone else given them a try?
Richmond, Virginia (April 2021) – Duke’s Mayonnaise, the iconic southern brand with the cult-like following, is launching a slate of new products designed to bring new excitement and flavor to the mayonnaise category. The new products include a line of four (4) flavored mayos, including Bacon & Tomato and Habanero Garlic, three dressings for coleslaw and potato salad, and Duke’s Hint of Lime Mayonnaise. The new products are now available in select retailers and on dukesmayo.com. These new products are inspired by the brand’s southern heritage, following in the tradition of entrepreneur Eugenia Duke’s one-of-a-kind mayonnaise recipe that’s graced tables for over 100 years. As with all Duke’s products, these new items are made with only quality ingredients, and no high fructose corn syrup. From left to right: Duke’s Hint of Lime Mayo, Habanero Garlic Flavored Mayo, Fire Roasted Red Pepper Flavored Mayo, Cucumber Dill Flavored Mayo, Bacon & Tomato Flavored Mayo, Creamy Potato Salad Dressing, Southern Style Coleslaw Dressing and Spicy Coleslaw Dressing. New Duke’s Hint of Lime Mayonnaise is the classic Duke’s Mayonnaise you know and love with a splash of real lime juice for a bold, new spread. Duke’s is also launching four mayonnaises with flavors that speak to Duke’s southern heritage – Bacon & Tomato, Cucumber Dill, Fire Roasted Red Pepper and Habanero Garlic. Duke’s Dressings come in Southern Style Coleslaw, Spicy Coleslaw and Creamy Potato Salad. Just pour, mix and enjoy for the perfect Southern side dish. These 8 new Duke’s products are hitting grocers’ shelves in April of 2021. “We know our consumers love to experiment in the kitchen. We expect these new products will inspire recipes and meals of our loyal fans by exciting their taste buds with that special, palate-pleasing twang Duke’s is known for,” said Joe Tuza, “Captain Condiment” / President of Condiments, Sauces and Dressings at Sauer Brands. These new items are a part of a bold transformation for the brand that began in 2020. Milestones of this transformation include the launch of Duke’s Southern Sauces, a line of regionally-inspired barbecue sauces; the introduction of the Duke’s It’s Got Twang! campaign, which celebrates southern cuisine and Duke’s role in turning good dishes into great ones; and the sponsorship of the first ever Duke’s Mayo Bowl with the Charlotte Sports Foundation at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Love Kewpie. I've been eating since I was first stationed in Japan in 1981.

Yep, I stumbled on the Carolina Gold at my local Food City. I have used it several times and would have to say that I like it a lot. Now, it seems a little sweeter than what I was used to when living outside of Raleigh several years back, but I will have to keep an eye on these when I go shopping again.

Since Duke's is necessary for a white sauce do they have a white sauce? Would love to try that.

I will have to see if they stock it here and see how it compares ingredient wise to the original and Meathead recipe.
