    "Medium Heat"

Many times in Meathead's book at the beginning of a recipe he writes "set the grill up for medium heat". What is considered "medium heat"?

I use this guide. Formatting will be a little off but I think it is readable.

    Cooking Temperature Ranges

Heat Range Mid Hand Over Grill in seconds

    Low 225-250 235 11-15

    Medium-Low 250-325 285 8-10

Welcome from Wilson County, Texas! As with all above, I have always used about 350 as my idea of medium heat. How to get there varies with cooker and conditions of course. Good leave in thermometer is essential.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

                          Placeholder

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all!

At its crux is a patented firebox that burns logs above the cooking chamber and sucks heat and extremely clean blue smoke into the thermostat controlled oven. It is our favorite smoker, period.
