Heading to a cottage... Very last minute. I have not had the chance to grab any kit but want to show I can use a grill. They have some 10 year old gas BBQ but was looking for tips on what I should cook. Please help!
Don't want to throw on just hot dogs (they have a time and place). Thinking pork or chicken drummies or thighs if you have tips.
No kit and a grill you've never cooked on before? I'd probably just grab a few types of sausage and do a sausage bath. It's easy, relatively foolproof and you are pretty much required to start drinking early.
Keep it simple! Steaks & chops. Little seasoned salt & pepper. Piece of cake to cook on any grill!!! You’ll be a hero! Everything tastes better at the cabin!!! 😋
Beer can chicken? Simple and it's got a bit of a "cool" factor if they've never seen it before and cooks good in a gas grill. And plan B is good - pass a bottle of whiskey around as it's cooking.
It's hard to beat a good grilled steak. Grilled chicken thighs may be a new treat for some of your fellow campers (or cabiners). S & P for seasoning.
The key, under your circumstances, is to keep it simple, as HorseDoctor said above.
