I know I make damn good BBQ cause my 3 dogs have NEVER said no to it. (OTOH, my 13yr old says no to just about everything, except my ribs.)

I think these baby backs pass the bend test.

This is after I had let them sit in the smoke unwrapped after applying the final glaze.

A little impromto steak cook. I ran across these 12 oz Chuckeye Steaks at the local Safeway. They were $14 for the pair. Certified Angus Beef. What I liked about these steaks is that they were cut thick. And there was good marbling. Cooked indirect on the Weber Gasser. Dug up a side of Sweet Corn and Mustard Potato Salad. Truly a poor Man's Ribeye....

For lunch, Johnsonville Brats smoked along side the butt that I threw on this morning for food the rest of the week. Later this afternoon, I’m doing 3 racks of cut up baby backs using the Blasphemy Method, for dinner.

in the meantime the dogs and I are sitting in an empty house, watching BBQ University off PBS, and drinking beer... it kills me how every dish Steven Raichlen throws onto the grill goes onto a virgin, pristine unused brand new grill.

Just a little grilled chicken from the other night. It was accompanied by asparagus and sauteed mushrooms. Chix marinated in teriyaki sauce and the 'rooms were sauteed in butter and olive oil with a clove of garlic, I added some red wine and teriyaki sauce plus a dash of soy sauce and a little pepper.

The food turned out much better than these lousy cell phone pix.

This morning’s butt has traded its lunch time company of bratwurst for cheeseburgers for a snack, and “blasphemy” ribs for dinner! Butt temp is now 158F... last beer in hand was Red Hare Brewery’s 50/50 Tangerine IPA.

Picked up a couple 2" CAB Ribeyes today. Cold grate reverse seared on Little Red Riding Hood. Accompanied by Meatheads grilled corn which I will now be giving a 5 star rating!

Paella today. I planned to do the entire thing on the Weber Kettle, but Mother Nature had other plans, so it finished in the house. First time I have made it, but it won't be the last. Wow was this good. As you can see, I managed to get some of the rice crispy.

Ok, Blasphemy Ribs are definitely a great way to go, and I may be doing them that way all the time! The extra rub, bark and sauce you get on each rub, plus the time savings of being done in 2.5 hours is a winner!

Paired with home brewed Old Ale (11% ABV)...

@Brumby yes its a big Old Ale, but not as big as the RIS I brewed back in March, which is aging in a Jack Daniels barrel at the moment. That one measured out around 13%, and it will likely be picking up some nice oak and whisky character from the barrel.

I flipped the ribs after 3 hours. Bark was very good. The pit temp was about 50 degrees higher at the top of the ribs so they were exposed to ~275.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

        the good one grill

The Good-One Open Range is a charcoal grill with an offset smoke chamber attached. It is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. The grill sits low in front and doubles as a firebox for the smoke chamber which is spliced on above and behind so it can work like a horizontal offset smoker only better. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

        Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker

Griddle And Deep Fryer All In One

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all. Plus it has a built in cutting board, garbage bag holder, and paper towel holder. An additional work table on the left side provides plenty of counter space.

        NK-22-Ck Grill

Their NK22CK-C Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. Professional Steakhouse Knife Set

        masterbuilt gas smoker

Our founder, Meathead, wanted the same steak knives used by steakhouses such as Peter Luger, Smith & Wollensky, Morton's, Kobe Club, Palm, and many others. So he located the manufacturer and had them stamp our name on some. They boast pointed, temper-ground, serrated, high-carbon stainless-steel, half-tang blades with excellent cutting edge ability. The beefy hardwood handle provides a comfortable grip secured by three hefty rivets. He has machine washed his more than 100 times. They have never rusted and they stay shiny without polishing. Please note that we do not make, sell, or distribute these knives, they just engrave them with our name.
