A little impromto steak cook. I ran across these 12 oz Chuckeye Steaks at the local Safeway. They were $14 for the pair. Certified Angus Beef. What I liked about these steaks is that they were cut thick. And there was good marbling. Cooked indirect on the Weber Gasser. Dug up a side of Sweet Corn and Mustard Potato Salad. Truly a poor Man's Ribeye....

For lunch, Johnsonville Brats smoked along side the butt that I threw on this morning for food the rest of the week. Later this afternoon, I’m doing 3 racks of cut up baby backs using the Blasphemy Method, for dinner.
in the meantime the dogs and I are sitting in an empty house, watching BBQ University off PBS, and drinking beer... it kills me how every dish Steven Raichlen throws onto the grill goes onto a virgin, pristine unused brand new grill.

Just a little grilled chicken from the other night. It was accompanied by asparagus and sauteed mushrooms. Chix marinated in teriyaki sauce and the 'rooms were sauteed in butter and olive oil with a clove of garlic, I added some red wine and teriyaki sauce plus a dash of soy sauce and a little pepper.
The food turned out much better than these lousy cell phone pix.

Picked up a couple 2" CAB Ribeyes today. Cold grate reverse seared on Little Red Riding Hood. Accompanied by Meatheads grilled corn which I will now be giving a 5 star rating!

I flipped the ribs after 3 hours. Bark was very good. The pit temp was about 50 degrees higher at the top of the ribs so they were exposed to ~275.
