    Game of Thrones smoke fest

In honor of Game of Thrones starting up again this sunday, I'm planning a medieval smoke fest. I did somethign simliar last year by smoking pork ribs and a leg of land.

Any other suggestions on meats (other than mutton, unless you all have a good recipe) and sides that will show the spirit of a dark ages meal?

If you could score some dragon meat that would be awesome.

Ducks, pheasants, chicken or squab?? How about a ham or whole pork shoulder?

Turkey drumsticks are always a big hit!

Massive quantities of bacon can add to whatever else you cook.

I second the turkey legs. At the Renaissance Festival we have around here it seems like half the crowd has one in their hands. But when I go I usually get one of these.

I love Scotch eggs. I only had the audacity to make my own once. Now that I have a SV cooking appliance I might try again.

Actually RonB got me thinking about a story that I read when I was a kid called 'Dragon Meat' and I thought at the time it was pretty funny. It's here.

Regarding dragon meat, alligator tail is really good. I'd cook it similar to chicken breast.

              Breaded and deep-fried for me!

I vote for skirt steak myself. You can cook and serve it medieval style (gobble it down whole) or more stylish.

How about a nice Haggis? Here's a great recipe (pay close attention the last sentence!): http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/a...recipe-1911083

I had haggis once in the U.K. and really enjoyed it ... kinda reminded me of Louisiana style dirty rice. (Disclaimer: there may have been a bit of scotch involved ... a great bit ).

Right now I have 2 slabs of ribs. Unfortunately, that's about as creative I could get

A cosplay would also be a good idea, trying to dress up like characters from Game of Thrones. I am actually excited to try this.

I was thinking Grilled Snake With Venom Sauce or Rancid Meat Stew
