    Camp cooking

SWMBO and I like to camp a few times a year. Just got back from our latest trip. I have a large arsenal of gear that comes along:
Propane burner - basically a one burner stove that sits on top of a one-pound bottle. I use it for coffee and boiling water mostly.
Coleman Camp Stove - runs on white gas. Couldn't do without it, it's probably used in half the meals.
Portable propane grill - small gasser that sits on the picnic table or the ground, gets used a bit.
Fire ring - comes with the camp site, self-explanatory.

This trip the propane grill did not get used, but here are a few pictures.

Sadly, I don't have pictures of the packs in the fire, but here are a couple of the meals. Chicken and veggies.

The green mug? Obviously not coffee, but not water either.

That looks exactly like my setup, right down to the identical fire ring to where we usually camp. Gotta love that cowboy coffee in the morning!

The fire ring is identical in every state campground in Minnesota. They are made in Iowa. That company must have made a killing.

Man that looks fun!! It's been a year or two since I went camping. Dang this makes me want to go now.

I don't bring much like you fellas though. That food looks tasty!

When we boat in to fish camp we always have the Coleman two burner and a separate single burger too. I carry one of those pour-over cup thingies to brew my real coffee but my dad loves his instant Maxwell House.

I gotta be honest, instant Maxwell House is one of my favorite parts of camping!

I've been known to use the "tea bag" Folgers in a pinch, but I like using the perk. It does not take long and we can get 4 cups out of a pot.

I don't know, car camping is far from roughing it, but it's not exactly the lap of luxury either. We enjoy it.
