New iPad, ads down the right side of forum.

I am okay with them, I was wondering if something was wrong. I went from an iPad 5 to an iPad 7. iPad 5 screen resolution is 2048x1536, the iPad 7 is 2160x1620.

Tap on the two A’s in the upper left, zoom in, they will go away.

FWIW, I get the ads on my Air 2, and Pro...and on my phone if I turn it sideways.
The Pro behaves pretty much like my desktop (even on the landing/home page)...but given the extra real estate that’s hardly surprising.

All - this is likely due to the Safari change in iOS 13 where it's now a full-fledged browser that will behave like a desktop browser and not to new hardware (except insofar as new hardware also brought iOS13.

They're not ads so you can't use an adblocker to remove them, either. Being a web developer, I could use a local stylesheet to my browser to hide them, but... eh.

I have a 12.9" iPad Pro. I get the ads if rotated to landscape for sure, not sure about portrait. It's the same way here on the laptop - if I make the browser narrow enough, the ads suddenly disappear.

Those aren't ads, those are the Spotlight items that should appear.
