I am going back in time! Not that it matters, but I noticed that I hit 6700 posts. Then I post on Ahumadora ‘s post of lamb and I achieve 6673. Maybe I need to be back where I came from, over there. Then all will be good, where I’m from.

We're all likely to lose some of our post count when old topics get trimmed and pruned. There's a lot of old-post-deleting happening. Check out the Slaughterhouse channel for any you want saved while there's time.

- Whatever I brewed and have on tap!
All this deleting posts has me wondering. I've got every email sent and received since 1996 on my computer! Disk space is cheap. My brewing club website, a forum similar to this, originally on a Yahoo group, then vBulletin, and now phpBB, has never deleted a discussion, and I still sometimes search and find useful info from a discussion in say 2001. Yet here on the Pit, every time I search, even for posts I KNOW I read within the past 2 years, its like a needle in a haystack to find it. I think rather than deleting topics, we need to focus on making the search engine work in a meaningful way. Not sure why the Pit seems to have search issues, maybe its vBulletin.
And FYI, I think my post count has rolled back as well...
